Innovation at Sunrise

In April 2025, the Red River Métis Business Association launched Innovation at Sunrise, a new breakfast-hour networking event designed to give Red River Métis entrepreneurs another opportunity to connect, collaborate, and build meaningful business relationships before the workday begins.

This event is currently being offered in an informal format as we assess member interest, participation, and overall impact. As the event continues to grow, there is opportunity to introduce featured speakers, focused discussion topics, and learning components that respond to the needs and interests of our members.

Innovation at Sunrise is another example of how the RRMBA continues to create value-added opportunities for members by offering accessible, relationship-focused events that support networking, collaboration, and business growth within the Red River Métis business community.

Innovation at Sunrise

Metis Hour x2

Since July 2024, Red River Métis entrepreneurs have been featured every Saturday on NCI-FM during Métis Hour x2, hosted by Naomi Clarke. Interviews typically take place between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon and provide an opportunity to highlight Red River Métis businesses, share their stories, and promote their work.

The current feature focus is on Red River Métis businesses in the tourism and hospitality sectors.

RRMBA Member Spotlights

Starting in February 2025, the Red River Métis Business Association began featuring RRMBA members each month on the RRMBDC website.

These monthly member spotlights are a great way to get to know RRMBA members, learn more about their businesses, and create new opportunities to connect within the Red River Métis business community. If you have not had a chance to check them out yet, we encourage you to visit the website. Previous monthly features remain available through the same link.

Our goal is to feature every RRMBA member over time. If your business has not been spotlighted yet, your opportunity is coming.

Member spotlight selections are generally made at random. However, if your business has a unique event or milestone coming up, we may be able to arrange your spotlight to align with it. This could include an operational anniversary, business expansion, new location, new service, new product line, or another special announcement.
